In a promising development for the future of the Owode Obafemi Local Government Area (LGA) in Abeokuta, Ogun State, the esteemed LGA Chairman, Hon. Amb Ogunsola Adesina Lanre (FCPA), recently welcomed representatives from 27th Development Limited, one of Nigeria’s premium real estate developers, to discuss the transformative Victoria Metropolis project.
Victoria Metropolis, spanning over 100 acres, is set to be Abeokuta’s first polo and tech city. This innovative project aims to combine state-of-the-art infrastructure, sustainable urban planning, and modern amenities to create a vibrant community and a model for urban living built on the culture and heritage of Abeokuta.
During the meeting, which took place at the LGA headquarters, notable figures including Prince Segun Soweye, Director of Information to the LGA, Hon. Idowu Mankinde, Special Assistant to the Chairman on Protocol, and Hon. Shittu Olalekan Taoreed, Special Adviser on Political and Legislative Matters, were present alongside Chairman Lanre.
Aare Tunde Debayo-Doherty, Executive Director, 27th Development Limited, outlined the comprehensive plans for the Victoria Metropolis city project.

The Chairman further emphasized the significance of the project’s proximity to the Iperu Cargo Airport, stating,
“The strategic location of the Victoria Metropolis in relation to the Iperu Cargo Airport underscores its potential as a key economic hub in the region.”
